Trek executive named finalist in entrepreneurial award

Bruce T. Williams, president and CEO of Trek Inc., a manufacturer and designer of ESD monitoring instruments, was named a finalist in the Upstate New York Entrepreneur of the Year award, sponsored by Ernst & Young, Entrepreneur of the Year Institute, USA Today, Nasdaq and the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership Inc. at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.
Williams founded Trek in 1968 when he invented a high-precision electrostatic voltmeter system. Today the private company serves a worldwide market and employs 123 workers at its New York headquarters and 18 people at its Japan division in Tokyo. — TGW
