CardioTech gets boost in manufacturing orders

MARCH 13–WOBURN, Mass.–CardioTech International, Inc., a maker medical-grade polyurethane, has announced that its subsidiary, Catheter and Disposables Technology, Inc. (CDT; Plymouth, Minn.) has started manufacturing two products for a Fortune 100 medical device company.

Orders for these products, which the company did not provides specifics about, are expected to generate revenues of several million over the next 12 to 24 months.

To meet the production demands, CDT is expanding its IS0 Class 7 cleanroom. CDT will undergo a major facility modification, including expansion of its cleanroom, controlled-environment manufacturing space, and in-house precision machine shop. This project is expected to be completed and fully operational in April 2003.
