Novx will phase out workstation, monitor series

NOV. 6–SAN JOSE, Calif.–Novx Corp., a supplier of ESC/ESD-related monitoring instruments and process environment monitoring control solutions has advised its representatives, distributors and customers that it will discontinue manufacturing of the Series 300 and Series 53xx Workstation/Process Equipment Monitors by January 1, 2004.

According to Steve Heymann, Novx’s president and CEO, the company has introduced its next generation workstation/process equipment monitors, providing a digital architecture for monitoring, proactive control and process environment monitoring solutions. The combination of hardware and software allows the user to monitor, analyze and control processes 24/7 365 days a year.

“The monitoring industry is going through an evolution, as we are definitely seeing a convergence of today and tomorrow’s processes — with digital proactive control in many cases representing a simple, effective and affordable solution,” said Heymann.

The new Series 6000 and Series 400 replace the Series 53xx and Series 300 with significant cost and/or performance advantages over the previous products.

To capitalize on the industry convergence, Novx Corporation will redirect its manufacturing resources associated with the Series 53xx and 300 product line to expand capacity to meet the demand of the Series 6000 and Series 400 and on new opportunities in the areas of process environment monitoring control solutions. The company will maintain its focus of providing end-to-end monitoring solutions.

While orders wil no longer be taken for the Series 53xx, Novx will take product orders for the Series 300 through Jan. 1 Novx will continue to support all warranty and repair policies including technical support on both instruments in the field until October 2008.

These products will be supported as follows:
