ANI, SouthWest Nano team up on tubes

June 22, 2004 – Nano-Proprietary Inc. subsidiary Applied Nanotech Inc. (ANI) has signed a deal to use and sell carbon nanotubes made by Southwest NanoTechnologies Inc.

Austin, Texas-based ANI is authorized by the strategic partnership to use the nanotubes and represent Norman, Okla.-based SouthWest on a non-exclusive basis in Asia. ANI said in a press release that the pact is an extension of its relationships with manufacturers in Japan.

The firms plan to continue developing flat-panel TVs using SouthWest’s nanotubes and ANI’s nanotube-based field emission technology.
