Nano adviser to receive Japan prize

Jan. 13, 2005 — The Nanotech Company LLC, a small tech advisory firm, announced that its co-founder and scientific advisory board chairman, Erkki Ruoslahti, will receive the 2005 Japan Prize. The award is given for his role in elucidating the molecular mechanism of cell-to-extracellular matrix adhesion.

The Japan Prize is presented during a one-week celebration. It is awarded for original and outstanding achievements in science and technology that have advanced the frontiers of knowledge and served the causes of peace and prosperity.
