Liberty Industries, Inc. offers 6” x 9” cleanroom disinfection wipes that are excellent as general-use wipes for tools, personnel surfaces and equipment. The wipes are saturated with DI water and isopropyl alcohol, and are packed in an easy-to-use pop-up dispenser (100 wipes per canister; 12 canisters per case).

Sterile alcohol spray

Berkshire now offers Gamma-Hol™ Spray, a sterile 70 percent isopropyl alcohol spray for the control of pathogenic and contaminating organisms in laboratories, controlled environments and process equipment. This product comes in an individually double-bagged, non-aerosol trigger spray bottle, and is accompanied by a lot-specific Certificate of Analysis. It is gamma irradiated to SAL of 10-6, filtered to 0.22 μm, and meets water-for-injection (WFI) quality in endotoxin limits. Gamma-Hol is manufactured in an ISO Class 5 environment. The spray solvent can be used alone or applied to one of Berkshire’s sterile wipers (Gamma-Wipe 67, Gamma-Wipe 120, or Gamma-Wipe 300) for specific cleaning applications.

Sterile alcohol solution and wipes

Decon Labs offers a sterile alcohol solution and presaturated wipes in its growing line of sterile disinfectant products. CiDehol ST 70 percent IPA solution is made to meet water-for-injection (WFI) specifications with regard to endotoxin levels. Endotoxin testing is performed on all lots of finished sterile alcohol products to ensure this claim and results are listed on the lot-specific document that is shipped with each case. Additionally, Decon’s sterile alcohol solutions are filtered to 0.22 μm, bottled and double-bagged in an ISO Class 5 cleanroom, then gamma-irradiated and tested for sterility. CiDehol ST Wipes are sterile wipes that are presaturated with 70 percent isopropyl alcohol for use in cleanrooms and sterile areas. Each pack is a convenient, resealable dispensing pouch containing 30 durable wipes. Each pack is double-bagged, gamma-irradiated via ANSI/ISO/AAMI American National Standards. A lot-specific document, detailing QC, irradiation and sterility, is shipped with each case.

Disinfectant mixing system

Veltek Associates, Inc. (VAI) has developed the patent-pending SimpleMIX® System, an innovative system for mixing sterile disinfectants and sporicides in a sealed, multichamber container that addresses regulatory agencies’ concerns over the problematic handling of chemicals and improper mixing of solutions. VAI has developed the hand-held container that, when activated, mixes a sterilizing solution with USP WFI-quality water. This system allows for the transfer of the sterile disinfectant or sporicide and sterile water in a sealed container without concern for also transferring contaminants to the aseptic area. The SimpleMIX System is available in either a 16-ounce trigger sprayer or in a gallon-size container for larger uses. The smaller chamber of the bottle contains the sterile concentrate disinfectant or sporicide and the larger chamber holds the sterile USP WFI-quality water. The two solutions instantly mix together when the tab is pulled. All SimpleMIX products are manufactured in an ISO Class 5 GMP filling operation, filtered at 0.2 μm, double-bag packaged per bottle, gamma irradiated and lot-sterility tested per current USP compendium. The SimpleMIX System has been developed for Veltek’s DECON-PHENE®, DECON-PHASE®, DECON-CYCLE®, DECON-QUAT 100®, DECON-Clean® and DECON-SPORE 200 Plus®. Custom manufacturing of VAI products is also available.

Hand sanitizer and dispenser

Instant hand sanitizer is dispensed automatically from this unique touch-free dispenser. An infrared signal activates a mist of fragrance-free alcohol rinse with hand-softening vegetable glycerin. The sanitizer is FDA-approved, and no rinsing is required after use. It kills 99.9 percent of bacteria in seconds. The fast-drying liquid formula easily saturates the nails and cuticles of the hands, where most bacteria reside. This product is ideal for use in pregowning areas, change rooms, labs and any other areas where hand sanitizing is appropriate but sinks are not available.

General-purpose cleaning powder

Two pounds of concentrate powder will make up to 75 gallons of cleaning solution. Each scoop generates up to 1 gallon of general‑purpose cleaning solution (scoop provided). It is easy to handle and easy to store, mild to operator hands, and biodegradable-no acid, caustic, or fuming problems. It is odorless, ammonia-free, and nonflammable, and when diluted can be poured down the drain. DDDS is now effective against numerous bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Psuedomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella choleraesuis, Chlamydia psittaci, etc.), viruses (Hepatitis B and C, Herpes Types 1 and 2, HIV-1 (AIDS virus), Influenza A/Hong Kong, etc), animal viruses (Canine distemper, feline leukemia, etc.) and fungi (Aspergillus niger, Candida albicans, Trichophyton mentagrophytes).
