ST tweaks option deal, but not a “poison pill”

November 28, 2006 – STMicroelectronics has approved changes to its rules for options and share issuances to send a big chunk of ownership to an independent foundation, but says the changes are not a response to hostile takeover.

Under the new option plans, ST would issue 540 million preference shares to Stichting Continu
