A new air curtain model, the Mars HEPAC Air Curtain from Mars Air Doors, incorporates a HEPA filter for use in the removal of airborne contaminants.
The HEPAC air curtain can be mounted over a door opening inside the room to be protected or converted to a bench model, which can then be moved from room to room. It disperses a vertical flow curtain of dust-free, sterile air 18-in. in depth to the floor, filtering out bacteria, mold, pollen and dust down to 0.3
microns in size. It also prevents the possibility of contaminants passing through doorway openings into restricted areas by acting as a barrier to insects, dust, dirt and fumes.
The HEPAC can be used in meat packing, food, beverage and pharmaceutical plants. It retards foreign bacteria, yeast and mold spores during processing, storage and packaging of cultured dairy products including cheeses. In pharmaceutical plants, the HEPAC deters airborne mold spores and antibiotics from setting into other preparations.
