Exhaust filter
A high-capacity vacuum pump exhaust filter that prevents oil vapors from contaminating the environment and causing discomfort and respiratory problems for nearby workers is available from MV Products.
The Maxi-Mist Oil Mist Eliminator forces the vacuum pump exhaust through a positively sealed parallel bank of five pleated, low-resistance microfiberglass filter elements to trap the oil vapors. Designed for high-capacity vacuum pumps with ports up to 3 in. diameter (300 CFM), it has an oil reservoir with a manual drain plug that can also be plumbed back to the pump.
Featuring 99.9999 percent efficiency, the five filter elements used in the Eliminator have a 0.1 micron pore size. Constructed of stainless steel, the housing measures 10 in. diameter ¥ 13.5 in. high and has a 50 mm NW flange termination at the input (from the pump) with a 1.5 NPT flange at the exhaust. A quick-change clamp simplifies periodic filter changes.
