A new indicating purifier that removes contaminants from carrier gases is now available from Air Products and Chemicals. Designed for point-of-use gas polishing and final visual quality assurance, the new OMI-2 Purifier simultaneously removes oxygen, water vapor, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, most sulfur compounds, most halogen compounds, alcohols and phenols to less than 10 ppb from gas streams such as helium, hydrogen, nitrogen, argon/methane and ammonia.

An improved version of its predecessor, the OMI-1 Purifier, the OMI-2 Purifier has been designed for easy replacement of spent tubes. It can be used for Hall, ECD and GC-MS detection systems and contains Nanochem resin to meet gas purity needs. The improved purifier design also prevents air from entering the tube, which extends the life of the resin.
