The 5500 Series low-maintenance respirator from the Safety Equipment Division of North Safety Products has replaceable components and is an alternative device to North`s 7700 series of reusable respirators.

The 5500 series respirator uses a hypo-allergenic elastomeric facepiece that conforms to facial features, resists distortion and is easy to clean. A contoured sealing flange eliminates pressure points and ensures proper positioning. It also offers extended side flanges to offer sealing when talking and performing other facial motions. The facepiece is available in three overlapping sizes and uses North`s cartridges and filters.
