Salix Corp. introduces FloViz, a non-shedding, monofilament nylon, multistrand mesh streamer air flow visualization material especially designed for cleanroom applications. Non-contaminating and lightweight, it closely follows air streams to indicate flow direction and turbulence. The special strand mesh configuration produces an effective surface-to-weight ratio equivalent to fog. The high drag coefficient reacts to airflow differences as low as 5 ft/min. It can be set up to monitor entire cleanrooms or attached to a wand for spot checks. Applications include laminar flow testing, air flow certification testing, trouble-shooting around equipment, floor adjusting and air zone balancing.
