Cleanroom fabric

An ultra-high performance fabric designed specifically for Class 10 and Class 1 cleanrooms has been developed by Teijin Shoji (USA). To meet Class 1 standards, Teijin undergarments are manufactured from Selguard 110 (a fabric made with electro-conductive yarn) to reduce particle density within the outer garment.

A combination of yarn material, weaving structure, dyeing and finishing is used to produce static-free fabrics that can filter even the smallest contaminant particles, while maintaining air-moisture permeability.

Smaller, more densely-spaced pores in the fabric block submicron particles, while allowing passage of air and moisture. The fabric is constructed to retain its filtering performance and comfort levels even after numerous clean launderings.
