Flovent V1.4, a new software package designed to help controlled-environment design engineers optimize cleanroom ventilation efficiency prior to commissioning has been introduced by Flometrics.

By using Flovent at the design stage, engineers can evaluate new cleanroom layouts and identify ventilation/extraction problems. The effects of furniture and heat gains from workers, equipment and lighting can also be included in the calculation. Flovent can also simulate system heat-up over a period of time, together with the density, specific heat capacity and thermal conductivity of building materials, letting the user predict overall transient thermal response.

It can also be used to determine how air movement will be affected by gases of different densities at various temperatures.
