First Cleanroom for Sealing Industry

Kulpsville, PA–Greene, Tweed & Co. has opened its 4,500 ft2 Class 1,000 manufacturing cleanroom at its international headquarters, marking the first time a cleanroom of its capacity and cleanliness level has been installed on the premises of a manufacturing facility in the sealing products industry.

The cleanroom, which contains Class 100 work areas, will be used exclusively for manufacturing semiconductor products such as O-rings and custom seals fabricated of Chemraz, including AquaPro and PlasmaPro seals. Z-Tec of Hagerstown, MD, a design-build cleanroom contractor constructed the new facility, which includes a stainless steel wall. The company has 700 employees worldwide.
