Power monitor
BMI?s 130 PQSentry power monitor can be used by cleanroom electrical engineers to diagnose and solve single-phase power problems. Users can plug it into the same outlet as the critical load and let it monitor and collect data, then automatically transfer it to a computer via an external modem or an RS-232 link. PQSentry software for DOS summarizes, displays, and manages the data.
The PQSentry monitors single-phase line-to-neutral and neutral-to-ground 120- or 130-V power for sags, swells, impulses, waveshape faults, frequency variations, harmonics to the 31st, and (optionally) temperature and currents?all of the disturbances that can disrupt cleanrooms electronics equipment and systems. It provides minimum/maximum/average rms summary reports.
The PQSentry can be used to confirm or rule out power as a source of equipment problems, perform pre-installation surveys and prevent power quality from degrading.
