AMETEK?s Process & Analytical Instruments Division introduces the Model 5900UHP trace moisture analyzer, designed for the specific requirements of the semiconductor industry: fabs, gas suppliers, research laboratories and others involved in the use or supply of ultra high purity gases. The Model 5900UHP provides a statistical lower detection limit of less than 5 ppb moisture in nitrogen, argon, oxygen, hydrogen, helium and many specialty gases. During dry-down, the instrument typically requires less than 10 minutes to reach 90 percent of the final reading from 2 ppm to 100 ppb, and less than 30 minutes from 100 ppb to 0. The analyzer includes user-controllable measurement processing, and a number of signal-averaging algorithms allow the unit to be configured as a quick-acting upset alarm or as a very precise, absolute measurement instrument, according to user requirements. It is available in bench-top and rack-mount configurations.
