Bacteria Measurer

Biotrace has improved its Uni-Lite Hygiene Test Kit, a real-time rapid hygiene testing tool to measure levels of bacteria in food processing plants, in accordance with the government`s Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) program for improved food safety. Based on the measurement of ATP (adenosine triphosphate) the swab system now includes a new dropper bottle to replace pipetting of enzyme solution. The contact surface is swabbed with a swab moistened with Biotrace`s extractant, the sample is placed in a cuvette where reagents are added. The cuvette is then inserted into a monitor with digital display to obtain results. Biotrace`s reagent design produces a stable light signal, allowing batched sample analysis with no critical time steps. The kit is portable and lightweight (2.6 lb.) and includes a compact, rechargeable mini-printer.
