Control valves
H.D. Baumann introduces its 87000 Series of Flexsleev and Rotosleev Sanitary Control Valves for throttling of high purity liquid or gaseous media for use in critical, aseptic, clean-in-place (CIP) biotechnical applications, the photographic film-coating industry, as well as food-related industries such as breweries.
The 87000`s in-line, self-draining body design, combined with a mechanically supported sleeve-closure member, is unaffected by the vacuum-related instability and turbulence commonly associated with typical weir pattern diaphragm designs, making it suitable for critical WFI sterile water recirculation loops, according to the company. Its non-rotating closure member is actuated by a non-wetted, eccentric mechanism, eliminating the problems commonly associated with angle-body sanitary valves, which rely on sliding O-ring stem seals. A streamlined flow pattern minimizes cavitation-induced turbulence and process media shear. Available in 0.5-in., 2-in., and 3-in. sizes, with Cv ranges from 0.25 to 98.
