Pall presents its Profile II all-propylene, steam-sterilizable and disposable filters for use in the pharmaceutical, biologicals, bioprocessing, electronics, food and beverage, and cosmetics industries. Profile II filters are designed to produce clarified, large-scale cell culture harvest fluids free from cells, cell debris, precipitates, and other particulate contaminants, while allowing passage of biologically active molecules. They are available with absolute particulate removal ratings as fine as 0.3 mm and are especially suitable for rapid, single-pass separation of bulk mammalian cell mass from conditioned growth medium.

Profile II filters are absolute-rated, have graded pore depth, and operate at high flow rates under low shear conditions. Unlike tangential-flow systems and centrifuges, there is no concentrate or retentate remaining and hold-up volumes are minimal.
