Liquid sensor for ultrapure fluids

Liquid sensor for ultrapure fluids

Particle Measuring Systems offers a new product line of in situ liquid monitors and spectrometers. The nano particle sensor is designed for measuring filter efficiency and particle contamination in ultrapure water and corrosive chemicals. Four sizing channels are available on the nano monitor, with a starting sensitivity of 0.1 mm. The nano spectrometer is a 16-channel instrument with user selectable sizing thresholds from 0.1 to 1.0 mm. For batch applications, the nano sensor is used with the LS-50 batch sampler with 50 ml syringe. The sensor collects data and reports it to a standard personal computer, where a Windows-based software package provides real-time particle counts in many different formats. Information can be represented as a time plot or as a tabular display of sample points. Using a color-coding scheme, upper and lower alarm levels can be set for each sensor or individual sizing channels. The software allows for viewing all sensors simultaneously or individually.
