Static Technologies introduces a new style, disposable heel grounder. The Static Tech disposable heel grounder fits under the wearer`s foot, providing a more dependable ground path than units that clip to the side of the shoe. The heel grounder consists of a felt strip with a conductive path. The vibrant yellow material allows for easy visual confirmation that personnel are wearing ESD protective grounders. One end of the grounder fits inside the shoe below the wearer`s heel, while the other end is placed under the heel of the shoe and held in place with a low tack adhesive. Workers wearing the Static Tech grounder will test within acceptable limits on footwear testers.
