Pressure membrane
Fluid Systems is introducing the TFC-ULP, a new ultra-low pressure reverse osmosis membrane, which is designed to operate at a range from 75 – 150 psi–approximately half the pressure of other low-pressure membranes, according to the company. As a result, it can cut energy requirements in half, reducing overall system operating costs.
The TFC-ULP is available in 4-in. and 8-in. diameter models. The Model 4821-ULP provides 98 percent rejection and 1300 gpd of output at 75 psi. At 150 psi, it provides twice the rejection at 99 percent and output of 2650 gpd.
The Model 8821-ULP at 75 psi provides 98 percent rejection with an output of 5300 gpd. At 150 psi, the performance also doubles (99 percent rejection) and output of 11,000 gpd.
