Noise Suppression Technologies, Inc. adds to its line two new industrial noise control products–Model QC Quilted Fiberglass Absorption Panels and Model QCC Quilted Fiberglass Composites–offering an economical alternative to rigid metal enclosures and urethane foam products. Model QC panels can be used as wall coverings, machinery housing liners or suspended baffles. They reduce in-plant reverberant noise levels by up to 10 decibels through conversion of acoustical energy to thermal energy. Model QCC Quilted Fiberglass Composites incorporate the QC, adding a limp, high-mass barrier septum. The added barrier layer makes the composite ideal for freestanding enclosures, additional liners for existing enclosures, pipe and duct wrap, plant dividers and office cross-talk barriers. Typical noise reduction levels through this material range from 12 to 47 decibels, depending on the primary disturbing frequency.
