So-Low Environmental Equipment Co. has introduced the Model C85-5 laboratory freezer that can be used for medical research and biological storage–preserving tissue, plasma and blood cells.

The freezer is constructed of all-steel with a counter-balanced lid. A temperature control provides an adjustable temperature range from -40&#176 to -85&#176C. An alarm system is a standard feature. An audio and visual alarm will come on when there is a rise in the temperature set point.

The freezer also has an air cooled condenser that requires no liquid. Chamber dimensions are 30 &#165 18 &#165 16-in. high with a 5-ft capacity. Optional accessories include a temperature recorder, back-up systems, cryo-safety gloves, CO2 and LN2 back-up systems and inventory control systems.
