The Kanebo sponge brush roller from Rippey Corp. is used for scrubbing semiconductor wafers, photomasks, and memory disks. The chemical structure is hydrophilic and its sponge structure is similar to that of a natural sea sponge. The sponge brush roller eliminates the possibility of micro-scratching, which is known to be caused by nylon brushes, and leaves no residue.

The PVA sponge brush roller is unaffected by most acids, solvents and alkalines. It is available in a variety of sizes which can be adapted to all automatic wafer scrubbers. Other sizes of rollers and cup brushes are also available for different scrubbing applications.
