Skin protection cream

Skin protection cream

CDSI and Alternative Technology for Maintenance (ATM) have created Elyssium skin protection creams as an alternative to glove liners to reduce the risk of industrial dermatitis. The cream acts as an epidermis bonder and sealer that protects the user from rashes and irritation caused by wearing latex or vinyl gloves. A highly concentrated micro-emulsion, Elyssium produces up to four times the protection level of conventional barrier creams, according to the company. Absorbed by the top layer of skin cells, the cream protects skin from most acids, alkalis, solvents, oils, sea salt, detergents and excessive contact with water. Not greasy or sticky, it will allow normal handling of equipment without loss of grip or “finger printing.” The system also eliminates hyperhidrosis–excessive sweating–without clogging pores. The product is also available as a medicated bactericide or with UV protection.
