Gas Testing/Tank Repair Company Forms

Allentown, PA–ACME Cryogenics and FIBA Technologies have announced the formation of a joint venture company, Lehigh Valley Cryogenics & Testing, Inc. The new company will combine cryogenic and CO2 tank repair with ultrasonic and acoustical emission testing of high pressure cylinders and tubes. Ultrasonic (UT) and acoustical emission (AE) testing are both non-invasive test methods that allow Industrial Grade and Ultra High Purity gas cylinders to be tested per DOT requirements without exposing the cylinder inner surface to atmosphere or test fluids, eliminating the possibility of product contamination during testing. Besides maintaining the integrity of the cylinder package, AE and UT testing provide a much more accurate evaluation of high pressure cylinder integrity and will detect flaws in the internal wall of the cylinder that cannot be detected by current hydrostatic testing methods. The new joint venture company will also manufacture and repair standard and jumbo tube trailers and ASME ground storage units and will repair and fully recondition liquid CO2 and liquid cryogenic trailers.
