IDTs Cleanroom Goes Paperless

IDT`s Cleanroom Goes Paperless

Integrated Device Technology (IDT) has purged its cleanroom of paper and related contaminants as well as substantially reducing its time spent creating and distributing documents and revisions. IDT, a manufacturer of semiconductor devices, recently had a problem: How was it to keep track of numerous document procedures without literally contaminating the room with the paper they were written on? IDT decided to use an Interleaf solution to implement a paperless cleanroom and manage its electronic documents. “Manufacturing state-of-the-art semiconductor devices goes hand-in-hand with state-of-the-art processing equipment, which is extremely expensive,” says Marc Ahrendt, automation engineers at IDT. Using Interleaf and its accompanying software IDT was able to create its paperless cleanroom.
