Pall Ultrafine Filtration Co. is introducing the new Emflon PFA filter which can be used in a variety of applications including large scale fermenter air and intermediate product venting. Constructed with Pall`s proprietary PTFE membrane, Emflon PFA filters are certified to meet pharmaceutical and fermentation industry requirements for bacterial aerosol retention, fabrication integrity, biological safety and cleanliness. These 0.2-&#181m rated filters can be repeatedly autoclaved or steamed in situ, typically for 100 hours up to 125&#176C. They are integrity testable in situ by either the Water Intrustion Test, the alcohol wet Forward Flow or the bubble point tests. (Pall`s Web site is http://www.pall.com.)
