Balzers completes $1.5 million upgrade

Hudson, NH–Balzers Process Systems (BPS), a $200 million manufacturer of thin-film production equipment for the semiconductor, data storage and flat panel display industries, has completed a $1.5 million upgrade of its Hudson, NH manufacturing facility. The upgrade, which doubles the company`s U.S.-based production capacity, includes a 30,000-ft2 Class 100,000 cleanroom for the final assembly of its C4 semiconductor packaging equipment, which it licenses through IBM.
