North Carolina attracts pharmaceutical cleanrooms

Research Triangle Park, NC–Design-build/construction management company Marshall Contractors is completing the first phase of BIOGEN Inc. Biological Products Manufacturing Facility`s 100,000 ft2 production facility with office and lab space on a 42-acre parcel of land. Marshall is also renovating a major laboratory on the Glaxo Wellcome RTP research and development campus; a 10,000-ft2 cleanroom production facility for LiteSpec; two Wyeth Lederle Vaccines and Pediatrics cleanroom and manufacturing facilities in Sanford, NC; two Glaxo Wellcome facilities, and a Class II drug packaging facility in Zebulon, NC. Marshall`s specialized expertise is in the construction of microelectronics, biotechnology, pharmaceutical and food processing facilities. n
