CEA Instruments Inc.`s MD-16, a single gas, wall-mounted, continuous detector, monitors low levels of chlorine. The mini-gas monitor is enclosed in a durable, weather proof NEMA 4X enclosure. The detector has built-in audio and visual alarms that are activated in less that 8 seconds when hazardous chlorine levels are detected. These alarms can be tested, silenced or reset by pushing one button or by shining a flashlight on the front panel. Auxiliary outputs and LED lights indicate cell failure, power failure, and warning alarms. The danger alarm has a relay contact which can activate external devices.
