Ion Systems purchases new facility
Berkeley, CA — Ion Systems, a supplier of static control equipment to the semiconductor, flat panel and data storage industries, has added 10,000 sq. ft. of production space adjacent to its headquarters. The new facility will support increased demand for the company`s products — air/nitrogen ionizers and instrumentation for controlling damage and contamination caused by static charge, ranging from ultraclean room ionization systems to electronic assembly area ion blowers and ultraclean tool ionizers. Ion Systems had expanded its headquarters facility just two years ago, which was quickly outgrown. When the new facility is complete in early 1997, the company`s headquarters will contain more than 25,000 sq. ft. of space for R&D, manufacturing, sales and marketing, and administrative purposes. n
