North Safety Products has introduced a chemical cartridge, the Defender 75SC, for use with North`s air purifying cartridge respirators. The NIOSH-approved respirator affords protection against a variety of industrial air contaminants, including organic vapors, hydrogen chloride, and ammonia. Also available is the Defender 75SCP100, a combination chemical cartridge/high efficiency particulate filter, offering NIOSH-certified P100-level particulate filtration, in addition to protection against any or all of the above contaminants. The new Defender 75SC cartridge combines the respiratory protection capabilities of the existing North cartridges. Both cartridges may be used with North`s 5500, 7600, 7700, and 77BP Series respirators.
