New Contec facility houses Class 10 cleanroom laundry

Spartanburg, SC — Wipe manufacturer Contec opened its new corporate headquarters, which includes a Class 10 cleanroom laundry, in March. The new building, located in Spartanburg, SC, also includes sales and administration offices.

The building is 60,000 sq. ft. with a Class 10 state-of-the-art cleanroom laundry. In addition, the facility contains a 40,000 sq. ft. triple-tiered warehouse as well as a 12,000-gal. reverse osmosis (RO) and deionized (DI) water system. The water used in the system is purified by RO, at a minimum, while all final product rinses are performed using semiconductor-grade DI water. The wiper processing cleanroom facility includes a laser cutting area.
