Building-control system based on open architecture
Siebe Environmental Control`s new I/A series intelligent automation system uses BACnet and Echelon protocols for total enterprise information integration.
The I/A Series Intelligent Automation System from Siebe Environmental Controls is a building control system based on an open communications architecture that utilizes BACnet and Echelon protocols to integrate information. The system is comprised of Micronet controllers, a Microsoft Windows-based graphical user interface, engineering tools, Micronet sensors, Ultradrive actuators and VB-7000 valves, which offer improved flow characteristics. The Micronet controllers are LonMark compliant. The Micronet sensors have digital displays and a two-wire connection for power and communications, while Ultradrive actuators provide reliable service and multiple input signal options, including Echelon. The system also offers a migration path for existing Siebe system installations to this new control technology.
