George Fischer, Inc. has completed its Class 10,000 cleanroom at its Tustin, CA, location. The cleanroom facility will offer fabrication of custom, user-specific PVDF components required for the ultrapure water market. Product offerings include a full range of plastic pipe, fittings, valves, actuators, rotameters, fusion machines, tank linings and heat exchangers, as well as its Signet line of flow-monitoring and process control instrumentation. The facility meets market demands for products not normally available on a production scale and which must be custom-fabricated for the individual end-user. The assembly area cleanliness levels and functionality complement the company`s existing European cleanroom facilities in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, to meet the market need for a complete ultrapure piping system. Examples of specialty components include reducers, flare transition fittings, reducing tees, and adapters. Assembly, final cleaning and packaging of its custom Sygef HP PVDF components all take place in a Class 10,000 or better environment. The cleanroom includes a fusion machine, Class 100 clean hood, a high purity parts washer, heat-embossing equipment for traceability, an ultra pure water system, and high purity packaging equipment.– SES
