U.S. Filter facility receives ISO 9001 certification

United States Filter Corp.`s (U.S. Filter) Lowell, MA, facility has received ISO 9001 certification by the British Standards Institution (BSI) of Milton Keynes, UK. The facility manufactures the company`s proprietary CDI continuous deionization systems and small RO systems used to produce high purity water for a number of industries, including food and beverage, medical/ clinical/research, microelectronics, and pharmaceutical/ biotechnology. “ISO 9001 certification will provide our customers with the assurance of an internationally recognized quality system, as well as provide us with a mechanism to drive continuous quality improvement throughout all of our operations,” says Cheryl Ardizzoni, U.S. Filter`s director of quality and regulatory affairs. The Lowell facility is the fourth domestic U.S. Filter location to claim ISO 9000 certification. Its San Antonio, TX, manufacturing plant is ISO 9002 certified; its facility in Naperville, IL, is ISO 9001 certified; and its La Grange, GA, facility was ISO 9001 certified in February.
