W.W. Grainger and VWR ratify agreements

W.W. Grainger, Inc., a distributor of maintenance, repair and operating (MRO) supplies, and VWR Scientific Products Corp. have entered into agreements that will enable both companies to better address customer demand for integrated supply — the emerging trend that allows customers to consolidate suppliers and reduce total materials and supply chain management costs. Under the terms of the first of the two agreements, VWR is now a “Best-In-Class” supplier to Grainger Integrated Supply Operations (GISO). The agreement allows customers to order VWR products directly through GISO. The second agreement allows VWR customers similar access to products supplied by Grainger.

Customers of both companies can place consolidated orders for products from multiple suppliers, receive consolidated delivery and a single invoice, and make a single payment — all of which helps to reduce a customer`s total MRO costs. — SES
