BOC acquires Systems Chemistry

To give its semiconductor business a boost, the BOC Group has purchased Systems Chemistry Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of SubMicron Systems Corp. Government approvals are expected shortly for completion of the deal. The BOC Group includes BOC Gases and Edwards High Vacuum International. Systems Chemistry brings to the table a well-established product line in both bulk chemical and CMP slurry distribution equipment. Combined with BOC`s system integration and project execution skills, Systems Chemistry is expected to become a leading supplier of chemical management systems to the semiconductor industry, according to company spokespersons. — SES
