CRE to build cleanroom facility for Veriflo

CRE (Ronkonkoma, NY), the engineering division of Clean Room Products, will design and build a 6,007-sq. ft. multi-class facility for Veriflo Corp., a supplier of precision, ultraclean gas valves and regulators. Construction on the new facility — the second CRE has constructed for the company — began in August 1997, and was scheduled for completion this month. The facility will include a, 3, 744-sq. ft. assembly room at Class 10 to 100, an 858-sq. ft. Class 1,000 welding room, a Class 100 cleaning room, a Class 1,000 gowning room, as well as a Class 100 272-sq. ft. hurricane room. Rooms will be controlled to 65 degrees ± 1 degree F, with an rH of 30 to 50 percent. Features are a raised floor system, modular wall system and a 90-ton chiller. — SES
