New effluent decontamination system a cost-cutter

Crawley, West Sussex, UK

APV Pharmaceutical & Healthcare`s Effluent Decontamination System uses automatic controls as a cost-effective way of killing microorganisms for the safe discharge of biological waste from cell culture, fermentation, research, and vaccine production plants. The APV system automatically controls heating and cooling cycles to treat large quantities of waste fluid. Waste is sterilized at temperatures of up to 135 degrees C, and residence times are strictly regulated to ensure safe and reliable treatment. After operation, a special superheated water sterilization cycle keeps the plant free of microorganisms. Flow rates of 1,000 to 20,000 liters per hour offer options for a variety of effluent collection vessels, tubular heat exchangers, titanium components, and sterilizable balance tanks. — SES
