Concord, MA

JMC Environmental Systems, a division of J.M. Coull, was recently contracted by Millipore Corp. (Bedford, MA) to convert 42,000 square feet of existing manufacturing space into production and R&D labs. The renovation is being designed by Dimilla Schaffer Associates (Boston). In addition, JMC was contracted by Ulvac Technologies (Andover, MA) to design and construct 16,500 square feet of clean manufacturing space. The $1.5 million project will include Class 10 to Class 10,000 cleanrooms as well as the construction of shipping and receiving areas, clean packaging areas, stock rooms and mezzanines. Finally, JMC has been selected to construct a cleanroom for Semiconductor Processing (Boston). Class 100 and Class 1,000 cleanrooms will be used for processing silicon and germanium wafers. The cleanrooms will be built on the seventh floor of a 12-story building. — LAK
