Radiance wins pollution prevention award

Bethesda, MD

The National Pollution Prevention Roundtable awarded Radiance Services Co. (Bethesda, MD) its Most Valuable Pollution Prevention Award. Two years ago, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency selected the Radiance Process as one of only nine projects out of 325 federal agency proposals for technologies to prevent pollution in federal activities. Says John Robinson, Radiance`s director of environmental, safety and health programs: “The most effective means of eliminating pollution is preventing it. The Radiance process is proven to have wide applicability for inexpensive, water-free and chemical-free cleaning for heavy industry … to high tech.” The Radiance Process uses high energy radiation, ordinarily from a laser, and a flowing inert gas, ordinarily nitrogen, to clean high tech and industrial surfaces. — LAK
