DuPont Photomasks breaks ground on sub-Class 1 cleanroom

Gresham, OR

Construction has begun on DuPont Photomasks` 71,000-square foot production facility, which includes a 16,000-square foot sub-Class 1 cleanroom. The cleanroom will meet critical operating parameters for devices down to 0.1 micron. Its modular design allows the company to accommodate future advanced photomask production techniques now under development. DuPont Photomasks manufactures photomasks, which are high-purity quartz plates that contain precision images of integrated circuits and are used to pattern the circuit images onto semiconductor wafers, the company explains. — KES
