MKS consolidates product lines

MKS Instruments, Inc. has merged three of its primary product lines into a single group that will provide integrated fab solutions for the delivery, monitoring and control of process gases. The newly established MKS Measurement and Control Products Group combines the company`s process gas analysis systems with its Baratron pressure measurement and control, and materials delivery product lines. Joe Maher, corporate vice president and general manager, will head the group.

MKS plans to move the process gas analysis product lines to its facilities in the Andover/Methuen area to take advantage of the company`s R&D and manufacturing resources, which include Class 10-capable cleanrooms. According to Maher, MKS is currently hiring additional staff to accelerate product introductions in this market segment.
