New aerosol sensors offer continuous cleanroom monitoring
The new Airnet family of aerosol particle sensors from Particle Measuring Systems can measure contaminants continuously at multiple locations within a cleanroom environment. The sensors offer a full range of sizing sensitivities starting at 0.2 µm, with flow rates available at 0.1 or 1.0 cfm for sampling in critical production areas. Featuring two or four channels for size analysis, the sensors can be mounted on a wall or a level work surface, and built-in status indicators display power, laser and flow activity on each unit. Collected data can be transmitted via an Ethernet connection that allows particulate information to be sent directly on a network to a workstation for real-time analysis or via Facility-View, one of the company`s facility monitoring software packages that provides a comprehensive account of the environmental conditions within a cleanroom environment. When a stand-alone configuration is needed, particulate data can be transmitted to a touch-screen data acquisition system called Data Touch, which allows the operator to view all collected data on one screen representing tabular display, sample plot, status conditions and system parameters.
