IEST publishes recommended practices

The Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology has published recommended practice, IEST-RP-PR-001.1 — Management and technical guidelines for the Environmental Stress Screening Process. The document discusses the EES plan, cross-functional disciplines as part of the ESS steering committee, closed-loop corrective action, design characterization, screen validation, thermal/vibration checklists, thermal/vibration survey guidelines, and terms and definitions.

Other RPs scheduled for release during the second half of 1998 are RP-DTE026, Gunfire; RP-CC029, Part 1, Automotive spray paint applications; RP-CC027, Personnel in cleanrooms; RP-CC031, Outgassing performance criteria for cleanroom materials; RP-CC034, HEPA and ULPA filter leak test.
