Teflon-encapsulated fiber optics

These FEP Teflon-encapsulated plastic and glass fiber optic assemblies can withstand corrosives and function in harsh chemical environments. They can withstand acid baths, including the kind used in the semiconductor industry. They can also withstand high temperatures. According to the manufacturer, the operating range for standard plastic models is -30 degrees to +85 degrees Celsius (-22 to +185 degrees Fahrenheit); for HT1 plastic models, the range is -30 to +125 degrees Celsius (-22 to +257 degrees Fahrenheit). The fiber optic assemblies allow users to “pipe” light into otherwise inaccessible and hostile environments. Custom fibers are available.
